So-called "folk" guitars are steel-string acoustics with slightly wider necks, intended for people who prefer the wider necks of nylon-string guitars. With little marketing push, Washburn offered the F series from 1978 through 2010, making it one of their longest-lived lines. Almost all of them were rather low-end, with no distinctive details or decorations -- simply good solid guitars. I spotted this one at Goodwill.com, and its relative obscurity led to me reeling it in for $75 delivered. China 2001, bound fretboard, tapered "snakehead," cast tuners, one-piece back, generic bridge.
