If I were feeling a little richer (and had more open space ), I'd buy this just to get a closer look -- presently asking $149+65. At first glance, that sure does look like the "droopy mustache" bridgeplate, right? The model number seems accurate. The long serial number tells me it's not pre-2000, and looks to be an IC (Cort Indonesia) prefix anyway, maybe 2008. But that bridge nagged at me, so I went looking, and found this. Clearly, it's an AU502, the non-cutaway, non-electrified, wide-neck version of the AU510N. Yeah, that bridgeplate looks like the proper Alvarez style. ...except it's presently listed as an AA40-D. In this instance, I suspect it's being offered by a clueless/lazy seller (sorry, but it's true), who is expecting $180+$150 AND says this obvious round-butt Concert or 000 body is a square-butt Dreadnought. I'd be tempted to talk him down from the high-buck ledge, but I've already got a Branson Cutaway that just needs some electrical repair.

You see that occasionally with Austin listings. The seller sees that it's a something-or-other copy, looks up the current Austin model of that copy, and that's what he thinks the model number of his guitar is. So yeah... lazy seller.
That's a DA28, correct? The pic is just out-of-focus enough for me to not be sure.
I've never seen an Austin DA-anything. I'm guessing it's an end-of-the-block-logo-era transitional model. It's got the block-logo bridge and headstock. I've seen Austin do the same kind of name change at the end of the block-logo era. Example: I have an Austin Les Paul copy with a 2008 serial number. It's a clone of the AU786 except for the color, but it's not an AU786 — it's a VR-300. Interestingly, the model name of the AU786 is "Vintage Rock Custom," so "VR" is reasonable. Much like "DA" might be a reasonable model for a "dreadnought acoustic."
