If you've got a project going, and you've got something NOT a Strat or clone, and don't want to settle for a run-of-the-mill pickguard, you probably need to check out Chandler Music's Pickguard Heaven. For the most common guitars of five brands -- Fender, Gibson, G&L, Ernie Ball/Music Man, and amazingly Harmony ( ) -- they can get you something standard for $36 ($31 for LPs, $29 for Teles, 'cause smaller), and offer DOZENS of increasingly outrageous color/layer options for $67 at max. Now, if you want something else -- like maybe for a Strat -- you'll apparently need to contact Chandler's Pickguard Planet and get into the nitty-gritty. Same selection of materials, but not common (or profitable) enough to keep on the shelves, so they might have to find the template and fire up the router for you... and, well, that could add a bit to the cost. But where else are you going to find a plate for a Washburn MG-44 (HSH, 24 frets) or a Parker Nitefly or a Silvertone 1451 without paying $100+ to some random Reverb.com grifter for a part covered with scratches?
